Need help getting back updated column names and datatypes. No backup RRS feed

  • Question

  • I stupidly did not backup my database and did a lot of work on it. I have no data in the database. I Just changed the name of most of the columns on about 25 tables - each having about 50-80 columns. If anyone knows a way to recover this, make a faster way to do this, or import the column names from a dataset in VS to the same SQL server database that would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

  • If you have Full recovery model you can restore you db using timeline, for example restore database to condition that was hour ago.

  • Do you have the schema in the VS project which was saved, then you can create the schema, then execute the same in the DB.
