Oracle to SQL Server RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have an Oracle table that has about 646 million rows and 18 columns.

Originally just using the supplied SSIS connection manager it was taking 6 hourse 30 mins.  After using the Attunity connection manager, http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?id=13921

It takes about 3:30 hours to move all the data, about 210 million rows per hour.

I have tried playing around with the OLE DB Destination settings, rows per batch and maximum insert commit size.  None of those seemed to help performance.

Are there any options/parameters that I'm missing that might help performance?  What is the best way to try to improve and monitor the performance of this SSIS package?

  • AFAIK, nothing other than the Attunity's connector is faster than that.

And this is the best article for trying to improve and monitor the performance of this SSIS package:
