SharePoint approval workflow: the Open this Task button is not displayed in Outlook RRS feed

    When an approver receives an email to approve, there're usually a button "Open this Task" in Outlook. But on a user's computer this button is not displayed. Is there a special setup in Outlook to enable the display of this button?

    Hi,

     

    Regarding to your issue, please make sure the e-mail was sent from Outlook rather than OWA or other email tools.

     

    If the user is using other mail instead of Office Outlook, this is by design.

     

    If not, the issue is related to the client’s settings. Please compare the working client to non-working client, ensure they both have same software installed.
