  • Hi,

You can change the application and form icons only to *.ico files. GIF and JPEG or BMP support is not yet introducted and so we have to concentrate using only icon files (*.ico).

    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/339stzf7.aspx

There are many tools available which convert bitmaps to icon files or small jpeg to icons or gifs to icons... you can google or bing them up and you will get them but there are 90% chances that your animations can be lost.... Generally when you ask can ico files be animated the answer is NO only .cur (CURSOR FILES) are animated but some softwares produce the headers in such a way that the gif to ico does not loose animation depending on original image .gif and its animation types...

    GOOD LUCK...

to convert gif to icon in an automatic way visit http://www.animatedfavicon.com/
