How to access low speed peripheral like GPIO,PWM,I2C,ADC and SPI on Minnowbaord MAX by using SetupDiXXX API and CreateFile function on WIndows 10 IoT COre image. RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi there,

Myself currently working on Windows 10 IoT core with Minnowbaord MAX baord.

Currently I have develop the GPIO and I2C based applications as per the Windows IoT core examples ( https://github.com/ms-iot/samples). This applications is perfectly deploy on Windows IoT and run it from IoT dashboard from my host's browser.

But I need to do above things like I2C port open, read, write and close by using Win32 APIs like SetupDiXXX and CreateFile APIs combinations.

I know that IoT core WIndows 10 is only understand Universal Applications.

But Is there any other way to access such peripherals by using SetupDiXXX and Createfile functions.

Should I need to develop driver of my own to support such APIs?

Please help me I am unable to find anythings related to this over Internet.

    Thanks in advance.
