Cannot RDP into the new VM RRS feed

  • Need helps from Azure Guru.

    I created VM and unable to RDP.
    Please see the error message below:

    The Remote Desktop cannot connect to the remote computer for of these reasons:
    1. Remote access to the server is not enabled
    2. The remote computer is turned off
    3. The remote computer is not availbale on the network
    Make sure the remote computer is turned on and connected to the network and
    that remote access is enabled.

    Can someone please help and tell me how to fix it?

  • I was able to RDP into it.  Then, I manually changed the IP Address from Dynamics to Static ip address.

    Next, I promoted the server to Domain Controller. And, rebooting the computer.

    Now, I ran into the same problems.

    Remote Desktop can't connect to the remote computer for one of these reasons:

  • Hi,

    Windows Azure Virtual Machine does not support static ip address.

    If you want to install Active Directory in Azure, i think you chould create virtual network firstly.
