[E2010] [EWS] [C#] [Windows]: Any request results in http status code 500 (and empty response) RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi guys,

We have working code (checked and the same as a lot of examples over the Internet) for a tens of customers with different instances and versions of Exchange, but on that particular site we have a problem.

All requests through OWA work fine, but any request through EWS results in http status code 500 (and empty response).

Is this some well known issue, or I need to provide you some additional information?

Anyway, thank you for reading this,

  • Hi Li,

    Thank you for your reply.

I went to the server and found in the Event Viewer (Application section) what's the problem :

WebHost failed to process a request. Sender Information: System.ServiceModel.ServiceHostingEnvironment+HostingManager/30542218 Exception: System.ServiceModel.ServiceActivation Exception: The service '/EWS/Exchange.asmx' cannot be activated due to an exception during compilation.  The exception message is: This collection already contains an address with scheme http.  There can be at most one address per scheme in this collection.  ...

    See you,

  • HTTP status code 500 typically means internal server error. Not likely related to your code. You may like to ask the administrator to restart the Exchange server and try again.
