Recurring events in calendar view RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi, I need recurring events to show up individually on a calendar view (showing their start and finish times), rather than looking like an all-day event across the top of the calendar.

How can I do this in 2013?

UPDATE: In another site collection this works fine

    Thanks

    Tracey

  • Hi Tracey,

In SharePoint recurring events will be stored only as a single item with a rule attached to show all recurrences in in the calendar view or when the calendar is linked to Outlook.

The only way to have individual events out of a recurring event is to edit any single event in the calendar view and save them without modification. This will generate single events out of the recurring event.

The problem then is whenever you edit the series this events won't be part of the recurring event. The single events also won't be updated.

    Thanks

    Saurabh

  • Hi,

In SharePoint Calendar View, recuring events will show the items with the start date and end date like below if it is not set All Day Event like below:

Please make sure the "All Day Event" Option is unchecked for the even item in "All Events" View:

    Thanks

    Best Regards
