  • If you have already installed Visual Studio 2015 (without Update 1), uninstall it and install VS 2015 with Update 1.

As far as  I know, VS 2015 Windows 7 Service Pack 1 or later.

So according your description, you can use the VS2015 in your windows 7 SP1. And if you want to install the VS2015 Update1. There is no need to uninstall your VS2015.

You could install the Update1 in the following link:

    https://www.microsoft.com/en-US/download/details.aspx?id=49989

Or you could modify your VS2015 in Control panel->Uninstall a program->Select your VS. Right click it, Change->Modify, select the Update1 then install update it.

  • Why not do the free upgrade to Windows 10 ?

Its really not as bad as some people try to make out.

I have used it since it came out and I am very happy with it.
