New Device Windows CE !! RRS feed

  • Hello, i want know if i can make new device of Windows CE based in this microcontroller :

    • 32-bit RISC CPU, up to 32MIPs with low power
    • 128kB ROM stores system code
    • 128kB RAM stores system data and bootloaded program code
    • 4Mbit serial Flash for program code and data

  • Hi,

    Basically it is a microcontroller, so you can't port WinCE OS for it.

    Also it doesn't come under the supported CPUS by the WinCE 6.0. For example WinCE 6.0 supports ARM, MIPS, SHx and x86.

    But, yours is a customized controller.

    But if you see in datasheet it is CPU 32-bits MIPS, and WinCE 6.0 supported MIPS !!

  • Hi,

    I have downloaded the datasheet but I don't find the word MIPS in the datsheet itself.

    More over it claims that Micorocntroller without cache.

    Based on my knowledge WinCE doesn't support microcontrollers

    May be you can check with NXP itself by writing to info@jennic.com
