  • Question

  • I cannot open Access database (stored on SharePoint) and keep getting this error. Two workstations, which have new users, cannot access the Access file. I truly need help with this issue. Microsoft Support has been no help. They tried a number of things to no avail. Not only has this affected the new user downtime, but it's affected my downtime, having to spend time on phone with Microsoft. I am ready to change platforms!

  • I have the exact problem and attempted to resolve it without any gain at all. I even attempted to copy my lists from SharePoint, but files can only be exported to Excel file. I know that I can export to excel and then import to tables, but I hesitated for a possibility that it may change my data tables configuration which makes it hard to access from my Access modules.

I wish this problem to resolved because my work is down.

    Please help ........

  • I can't offer any help, I'm not knowledgeable enough in SharePoint with Access, so hopefully someone else will jump in with a suggestion.

That said, I'd urge you both to post your comments on and send this information using the Feedback command from within Access itself.  When using the Feedback command, give as much information as possible and include your email address so the Dev Team can get in touch with you if need be.  You have to make as much noise as you can for things to get addressed.  As they say, the squeaky wheel gets the grease.
