I cannot see why this talk should be excellent. Up to now we have no examples from Microsoft which show that ASP.NET AJAX is working with WM6. The opposite is the case.

Using basic ASP.NET AJAX functionality with IEMobile 6.12

I have to correct my statement that ASP.NET AJAX is not working with IEMobile. There is one important thing which prevents that ASP.NET AJAX works on IEMobile: If we run the web application in debug mode - what I always have done - the tests of the DOM which the scripts perform fail and no Ajax calls are executed. Therefore one has to set debug to false and ASP.NET AJAX works in a minimal version on IEMobile.

Using ASP.NET AJAX with mobile browsers has a lot of restrictions:

    • At the moment I can not use ASP.NET AJAX with the S60 browser which is widely spread among mobile users
    • Only basic Ajax functionality, i. e. asynchronous calls
