Switching from Click Once Deployment to Setup and Deployment Project (Visual C++ Runtime Libraries (x86) RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have a Click Once deployment of a WPF application that has been super successful.  However the client wants to go to a multi-user environment.  So I am switching to a Setup and Deployment project.  I cannot get a prerequisite of Visual C++ Runtime libraries to happen in the Setup and Deployment project.  It will not install on the users computer.

I have looked at the following article and I just don't get it.

What exactly do I need to do to make my Setup and Deployment project install all of the necessary pre-requisites that the Click Once deployment does.

  • Okay.  This was easier than I thought.  I went into the Setup and Deployment Project and made it a pre-requisite there.  It is working now.
