An error of building MoFx2App sample

Question

Hi Everyone,

 

When I build the MoFx2App sample, it shows the following error message,"1>midlrt : command line error MIDL1001: cannot open input file IvectorChangedEventArgs.idl".

 

It seems that I miss the IVectorChangedEventArgs.idl file. But I don't find that file in the directory,"\Windows Kits\8.0\Include\winrt".

Where can I download it or how can i resolve this issue?

Hi Carl,

It looks like you messed up the project some how.  Try downloading it again and building it.  That file does not exist in the directory you specified and when I build the project it never tries to include or build it.

You are using the Developer Preview with the pre-installed VS Express right?

I'm about to downloading it and rebuilding it again.

Hi Carl,

How did it go once you downloaded the project fresh?  No there are no problems, just wanted to make sure you were not doing something silly like trying to build it on XP or something :-)

Sorry for my late reply.

 

I downloaded it again and builded it. But the same issue is still existence. Now I'm reinstalling my OS and VS and then I will try it again.
