Remove comma from double quotes RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi guys,

I am trying to import CSV file but it also contains the formatted numeric value in the quotes how I need to remove these quotes or read as a single value. for instance in the following line the values is "1,048.35" and I need to convert it as 1048.35.

    345435435,3454353455,3454345345,test string,-6.22,0.00,38.17,"1,048.35","1,080.30",

    Thanks in advance,

    Zaim Raza.

It will rescan the file and correct columns.

You may also check that files have column headers on previous page (General).

  • Hi Zaim

Bring the field in as is and then convert it using a Data Conversion transformation, it'll be able to handle the comma and convert the text value to a proper numeric one.
