Bing Map Fly Dates RRS feed

  • Question

  • Does anyone out there know how to determine the date that bing maps for a certain area were flown? i.e., when were the aerial photos taken of the currently accessible bing maps for Vermont?

  • Yes, you can use the Imagery Metadata service: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ff701716

"Vermont" is a pretty big area to ask for information about! There's no way the imagery for an entire state will all be from the same vintage. If you specify a particular zoom level and lat/lng location, I could tell you more, or else you could use a tool such as http://mvexel.dev.openstreetmap.org/bing/

  • There is also a Bing Maps App for this available here: http://www.bing.com/maps/?v=2&app=60526
