Activate Power BI Pro subscription included in Visual Studio


  • I have been using the free Power BI and presenting it to our account managers for possible company-wide adoption.  As a result, they sprung for the Pro Subscription, through a Visual Studio subscription.  With in Visual Studio/My Account, I click on Activate Power BI Pro and I get an error message "You already have a subscription through work" and inviting me to create a new account, however, I need my Pro account to attach to my existing work account/email.  Has anyone else run into this situation?  How did you resolve it?

    According to the error message, your problem should be caused by your subscription account. I suggest you contact the Visual Studio Subscriptions Customer Service Centers to check whether there has any ways activate Power BI Pro with existing subscription account.
