External images not showing on report. RRS feed

  • Question

  • Using SSRS 2008, SP1.

I have a report with three images. I am using this as my external image path:

When I'm in the designer using this url, the image shows up.

When I browse this URL on its own, the image comes up, but as it exists(identically) in the image properties, no image will display on the report. I also tried removing the &RetrieveResource=True part to no avail.

    Any ideas?

  • You mean just use '/ReportStats/Images/imgCube' instead of the entire url above? (by the way imgCube is my image.)

  • Then it sounds like you need to include the image extension (like jpg)

  • Furthermore, you might want to try using the escape characters instead if hardcoding your forward slashes:

  • Can someone help me on this in laymens terms. My scenario is this: we keep images, docs, photos, etc. stored in the folder below

I have a folder located on my C:\CRW\Data\Attachments\Permits        as a standard place for these files. I created a report that finds records (images, photos etc.) for the Permits folder above. In this folder we have a program that attaches an image or document, pdf etc in that permit folder then creates a folder for that new record in the Permits folder. example C:\CRW\Data\Attachments\Permits\BL123

I want to be able to attach all the images in that folder into the report and need to know exactly how to do this. i have been strruggling with this for a week. Can anyone give me the easy way please. I am new to ssrs...
