    I downloaded a  certain  " ISS 7.0-MANAGER   for WindowsXP"  !!

Now that I got the IIS-manager interface    on my Windows-XP.....Does that mean that I have IIS 7.0 installed on my WindowsXP ???

Besides ,  Can I use that IIS 7.0-manager on WindowsXP ?   [to access webSites  and Servers]

If not,  what is the point of making that  TOOL available

     [I mean  " IIS 7.0-manager for WindopwsXP"] ??

No, you haven't installed IIS 7.0 on Xp. I think IIS 7.0-Manager is a tool to remotely manage IIS 7.0 from  Windows XP, WIndows Vista  and Windows Server 2003.

Indeed IIS 7.0 is only available with Windows Vista and Windows 2008, the tool you downloaded allows you to connect remotely to a remote Windows Server 2008 running IIS 7.0 and the Web Management Service enabled.

The IIS 7 manager tool you installed is for connecting to remote w2k8 servers that have remote management configured.
