Max # of request when reading an inbox w/managed api? RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have an application that continously (ie. starts a thread and read 10 items at a time until done) reads the inbox

of a mailbox. Binds the Item to EmailItem and saves the full message to a DB.

Sometimes the amount of items in the inbox is so many that I end up being blocked by the server.

This seems to happen when I read more than ca. 100 mails within a minute. I think I have seen somewhere that this is a buildt-in limit in the exchange server to avoid DOS attacks.(?)

Is there a way to increase this limit (if that is wat it is) on the server?

Or is there a "right" way to access and read large amounts of items with an EWS client?

The server in question is an exchange 2007 server.

    TIA...
