create custom image gallery/picture library RRS feed

  • Question

  • I'm able to create a new picture library, however, within my site, I have 4 sections of my site, marketing, sales, HR and merchandising. I would like to create one picture library and allow my user to select where they want it, example: they may want to create an picture library for marketing and merchandising and not HR and sales, and marketing will have different pics then merchandising. How or is there a way to create 1 picture library for the site however allow my users to upload pics to seperate sections of my site?

  • HI,

You can create one picture library and then you can provide permissions to your users to access it.

In this way no matter where they are in site collection they will be able to use this.

I hope this will help you out.

  • its not a permission thing, its a location thing that I want to do. I want to create one gallery, and allow it to be used within different locations of my site and only show images pertaining to that location. Meaning, i don't want to see marketing images in HR, and HR images in marketing. So I want the content editors to be able to select what section to show the images within the gallery
