TFS SDK? Batch checkin checkout RRS feed

  • Hi all,

    I want to checkin -> do changes -> check out to almost all .vb files of my project. How can I achive that. I am using TFS 2005. Should I go with some kind of TFS SDK or I am suppose to write a betch kind of command line application.

  • first of all, I think the sequence is wrong: checkout -> do changes -> checkin :)

    You can use the tf checkin and tf checkout commands to work with source control with your files: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/z51z7zy0(VS.80).aspx

  • Hi Tanmay,

    you can use Source Control Explorer to perform check- in and check- out. Check-in is submitting your changes to the server and check-out is download files or folders from server to your local machine and you can do some changes.

     In Team Foundation source control, your changes to files or namespaces are persisted locally until you check them in. These locally-persisted changes are referred to as a pending changes. The Check In and Pending Changes windows are used to view and manage pending changes, for more information, you can refer to http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms181411(VS.80).aspx .
