PowerShell New-AzureStreamAnalyticsJob JSON File RRS feed

  • Question

  • Can someone help a PowerShell guy understand how to create a .JSON file required by the New-AzureStreamAnalyticsJob command where the Input would be an Event Hub and the Output would be a Table in Blob Storage?

    https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dn834994.aspx

    Neither of the links offer a complete set of output examples to make this somewhat understandable.  We could certainly use more examples for working with these JSON files as PowerShell ITPro's trying to automate the provisioning of these newer Azure components.

    Thanks!!

  • Specifically looking to create : Data Source – Azure Table Storage, not Data Source – Azure Blob Storage example.

    In the Blob example there's a type element for example of Microsoft.Storage/Blob.  Do I use that for Table as well or is there a special Microsoft.Storage/Table value here?

    "outputs":[
             {
                "name":"output",
                "properties":{
                   "datasource":{
                      "type":"Microsoft.Storage/Table",
                      "properties":{
                         "accountName":"StorageAccountName",
                         "accountKey":"**********key",
                         "table":"sampleTable",
                         "partitionKey":"pkey",
                         "rowKey":"rkey"
                      }
                   }
                }
             }
          ]

  • Yes, what you have is the correct JSON to create an Azure Table Storage output.

    The create output API documentation is missing the value of the type property for Azure Table output, we will get that fixed.

    Thanks for your feedback.

  • The Power shell documentation has been clarified and updated with a pointer to the REST API documentation.

    Thanks again for your feedback.
