Issue with accessing SSAS DB over XMLA api (error - database does not exist or you do not have access) RRS feed

• Question

• I am struggling with a weird error. Spend almost 10 hours figuring out all possible options which Google suggested.

I have used --> http://blogs.msdn.com/b/sqldev/archive/2011/01/18/how-to-configure-http-access-to-sql-server-2008-analysis-services-on-iis7.aspx to do the setup.

"<soap:Envelope xmlns:soap=\"http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/\"><soap:Body><soap:Fault xmlns=\"http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/\"><faultcode>XMLAnalysisError.0xc1180001</faultcode><faultstring>Either the user, NT AUTHORITY\\IUSR, does not have access to the \n mySalesOlap\n database, or the database does not exist.</faultstring><detail><Error ErrorCode=\"3239575553\" Description=\"Either the user, NT AUTHORITY\\IUSR, does not have access to the
mySalesOlap
database, or the database does not exist.\" Source=\"Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 Analysis Services\" HelpFile=\"\"/></detail></soap:Fault></soap:Body></soap:Envelope>"

I have added IUSR to the role of AS database "mySalesOlap" but I keep getting this error.

I also enabled anonymous access but nothing seems to be working for me.

Can someone please help resolve this for me ?
