Announcing Acropolis RRS feed

  • General discussion

  • Microsoft recently announced the Acropolis Framework at Tech-Ed 2007. There is a lot of chatter about it in the msdn blogs and elsewhere. Brad Abrams, gives a pretty good summary of the buzz here. I'd also recommend looking at David Hill's blog, and while you're at it check out the Acropolis Team Blog.

Quick summary, Acropolis is a framework that fosters the separation of UI from business logic. It allows an application to be composed of UI Agnostic parts that provide specific pieces of user functionality and services that support those parts. In addition to all of this, the framework is declarative with XAML and designer support. Anyway, I can't do it justice, just know that if you're wondering how to get your LoB app and WPF to play nice together, you should keep a close eye on Acropolis.

Oh, I almost forgot, there is also an Acropolis forum here in MSDN forums.
