Updated from DirSync to Azure AD Connect--automated sync not working (manual sync works)

    Question

  • I'm hoping this is an easy fix--here's the situation:

My manager did the update to Azure AD Connect and now our automated sync doesn't work.  Previously, when using DirSync, there were 3 steps.

    1. Delta Import/Delta Sync on the AD connector

    2. Delta Import/Delta Sync on the Azure AD connector

    3. Export on the Azure AD connector

Now, with Azure AD Connect, I see 4 steps:

    1. Delta Import on the AD connector

    2. Delta Import on the Azure AD connector

    3. Delta Sync on the AD connector

    4. Delta Sync on the Azure AD connector

Where is the export step?  I have to do it manually to get the sync to push through and update changes in Azure AD.

    Thanks,

    Adam

  • I just did a little looking around online (tried some other verbage for my search) and perhaps staging mode is enabled?  That would cause it to import and sync but skip the export process.  I'll check it out and post my findings here.  Standby.
