Ordering folders, docs in a Library

Question
-
I am trying to sort documents AHEAD of folders in a library. For example, I want an “Archive” folder to be listed last ALWAYS. Are you aware of a way to accomplish this? Documents will regularly roll from the the same levelas teh Archive folder into the Archive, so modified date doesn’t work. I also created a custom column called on “Display Order” that works fine with documents but NOT folders.

You can find the answer in this topic:
"In the Create/Edit View page, in the Sort section, there's a checkbox to Sort only by specified criteria (folders may not appear before items)." Check this checkbox :)

Hi MGGauf,
You can create a new folder content type, adding a numbered column, then add the content type to the Library , then order by this column ,that will achieve your requirement.
Here I will give you a link, about how add a column (meta data) to SharePoint folders.
