Creating output PDF files in Visual Foxpor8 RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am currently generating .TXT files as print output in my Visual FoxPro 8 application. I would like to create .PDF files instead .TXT files. Please let me know how can I do the same.

  • Hi SandipPS,

the easiest way (without any code changes) to generate a PDF is to use a PDF printer device i.e. that comes with Windows 10 -> "Microsoft Print to PDF". However, it is availlable for many years already but underrun some small name changes ;)

Debugging is twice as hard as writing the code in the first place.
Therefore, if you write the code as cleverly as possible,
you are, by definition, not smart enough to debug it. 010101100100011001010000011110000101001001101111011000110110101101110011

  • Hi SandipPS

If you are looking at doing this programmatically or do not use Windows 10, I use a third party tool called XFRX. They offer various outputs such as PDF, Excel and Word. You can find more info at www.eqeus.com
