PrintBRM creates errors during export of a custom port type RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi @ all,

I am trying to export my printer configuration via PrintBRM but get an error message stating that the data is invalid (error code 0x8007000d). The configuration includes a custom port type and, as soon as I delete all of these ports, the export works like a charme. It also works if I create ports of this type as local ports so that these are excluded from the export via PrintBRM itself but unfortunately this would also break the respective functionality. So at the moment I am having the following questions:

    - is there a way to exclude certain ports from being exported by PrintBRM via the configuration XML file that can be submitted together with the "-c" switch?

    - what exactly is needed for custom port types to be exported correctly?

    - is there a way to create the respective ports in a way so that these are excluded from the export apart from configuring them as local ports?

Thx a lot in advance for your help.

    Best regards,

    Christian

  • Hello Christian,

Did you find a way to exclude ports from being exported?  I find myself having the same issue.
