ews - ex 2007 - Time zone problem public folder calendar items longer than one day RRS feed

  • Question

  • With EWS I copy calendar items from user calendar to public folder calendar.

Server is in a different timezone from the client.

For single calendar items all is OK. So for example the item is in the user calendar at 10 pm. and duration one hour.

At the server I "see" (debug print) that the original item has a start time of 4 pm. (due to time zone difference)

I create a new item (with EWS) in the public folder calendar based on that information (start time 4 pm) and when the client in the other time zone looks at the public folder it thru outlook it is correctly displayed at 10 pm for him.

But when I do the same for a recurring calendar item that is one day long (alldayevent) or multiple days long, it no longer works correctly.

The client in the other time zone now sees the item 6 hours shifted in the public folder.

    Thanks, John
