    Hi tonyR6,

    According to your description, I suggest you could try to install the newest SSMS to manage the azure sql database.  Since old version SSMS may not fully support Azure sql database.

    I use SSMS 2017 to connect to the azure sql database and I could see the execute the SP  when i right click stored procedure.

    Hi there Brando,

    thanks for the response,

    just installed latest sql server(2014 enterprise core edition) also downloaded the service pack 2(patch) that is compatible with azure sql database. everything works perfect laughing

    at later stage i will install sql server 2017 to get full features of azure. 

    oh and not forgetting, i can also deploy my database directly from production which is using 2005 sql to windows azure database. interesting... Im currently using data migration tool.

    Brando, have you used that option before? deploying database to windows azure from sql server production...

    If you want to deploy the database by using SSMS, you could try to use Deploy Database to Windows Azure SQL Database feature in the SSMS.
