Allowing anonymous users to access as single page in my site RRS feed

    Hello,

    I have an asp.net 2.0 website running on IIS 6 that is configured to use Windows authentication throughout the site. However, I now have the need to make a single aspx page in a single folder accessible without users having to log in. This is what I have done:

    1. In IIS I have enabled Anonymous Authentication and disabled Basic Authentication
    2. In my web.config I have added the following:

      <location path="survey/physicianPathologySurvey.aspx">
        <system.web>
          <authorization>
            <allow users="*"/>
          </authorization>
        </system.web>
      </location>

    This is in addition to the authentication set up:

    <authentication mode="Windows" />

    And the general authorization for the rest of the site:

    <authorization>
            <allow roles="SiteRole1,SiteRole2" />
            <deny users="*" />

    <authorization>

    But when I browse to the site It still opens the login popup. I'm at my wits end in trying to make this page load without any authentication. What am I missing here?

    Any help would be much appreciated.

    The problem was apparently in the Global.asax, it looks like a change has fixed the problem.

    Hi,

    What do you mean "The problem was apparently in the Global.asax"?

    Thanks
