Creating horizontal scroll viewer using html5 and javascript RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi Geeks,

I am trying to create a windows store app which will have a similar scroll behavior as the metro apps published in lumia like Music or pictures with a horizontal scroll and as soon as the last item is reached the first item is displayed. This can be easily achieved in XAML using some inbuild or custom control that informs that the last item has reached. The problem lies that I am designing the same in html5, css3. Is there a solution for the same in html5,css3 or in javascript? If yes, kindly highlight the key steps that need to be done. Code samples if any, will surely be great too.

  • It is very similiar to C# approach. You can create custom scroll control in javascript and check when it reaches the end of the page and then move position back to the first item.
For custom scrollbars you can google tutorials and make everything by your own, or you can use some of already existing scrollbars.
