New flight 17030 released for Insiders

    General discussion

  • We have released a new flight with the build number 17030 for Insiders. If you discover any issue, please report it using the feedback app.

    New this build:

    • General bug fixes

     Known issues:

    • F5 driver deployment from Visual Studio does not work on IoT Core.
    • Devices that were installed via NOOBS cannot run the bcdedit tool to enable the kernel debugger. This can be achieved with the following workaround:

            - Mount the SD card on your PC

            - Find the EFIESP drive partition number with diskpart or Disk Management (say it’s “M:”)

            - Run the command “bcdedit /store M:\EFI\Microsoft\boot\bcd /set {default} debug yes”

            - Unmount the SD card.

            - You should now be able to connect the debugger as usual

  • With longevity in mind, are there any new platforms announced for Windows IOT Core?  Or is there a plan to update the getting started page to not show EOL devices?

    End-Of-Life Announcements:

    Minnowboard Max EOL:

    Intel Compute Stick EOL:

    Intel Joule/Edison EOL:

  • Thought it was just me, but this latest build has same issue last 2 have had, trying to launch the Feedback (and Help) app from device portal trys a redirect, but then times out

  • Since unable to launch Feedback App and not found a way to manually do it yet.

I have a few issues with this build, not sure if its just me?

    1) Cant change password in portal, always errors with cant save password

    2) Cant enable enable Windows IoT Remote Server (I worked around this on last build by manually starting the service, I'll try on this build soon to see if thats work around)

Anyone else having these issue? Seem to obvious so might be me.
