  • Hello hansonfree,

    >>I follow this, http://referencesource.microsoft.com/setup.html, but cannot step into the .net framework, please help me, thanks.

    This is strange that I checked the link and made a test to step into the .NET source code, however, I could debug into source code successfully using VS2013:

    List<int> ints = new List<int>() { 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 };

                    ints.Sort();

    This is the source code when debugging into the Sort method:

    I notice that you use the VS2015 preview version, and this link seems to be specific for VS2013, if possible, please have a try with the VS2013 to see if you could get it work. You could aslo troubleshooting it follow these suggestions in that links:

    • Validate that you are running .NET framework version 4.5.1 or higher.
    • Validate that the list of assemblies that you are trying to debug are on the list of assemblies here.The list is the set of assemblies that we currently ship reference sources for.
    •  Validate that your Symbol path has no cached symbols.
    •  Find the dll that you want to debug and run the command dumpbin  /headers (dll-Name)

    Regards.
