Disabling a deep link RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have been provided the following instructions from Microsoft about how to remove an app from the marketplace.

"Instructions on how to remove your app
    1.  Log into Dev Center for Windows Phone
    2.  Click Dashboard
    3.  Click on Apps
    4.  Change the View from 'Submitted' to 'All' (this is to search for Published as well as Submitted apps)
    5.  Look up your app by typing the app title into the Search box
    6.  Click on the app name
    7.  You should now see all the XAPs for your app
    8.  For each, click 'Unpublish'. This will remove your app from the Windows Phone Store catalog. Users will be unable to find your app via search or using the app's deep link. (Note that this will take 24-48 hours, to take effect.)"

The instructions are fine and work to remove the app from the store when searched for or browsed, but it does not remove the deep link.  The deep link remains active, but according to the above instructions this should not be the case when the app is unpublished.

How can I disable the deep link or get the deep link disabled?

Why not give a little to charity?
