GetSummaryInformation Method RRS feed

  • Question

  •

How do I pass the CIM_VirtualSystemSettingData REF SettingData[] and uint32 RequestedInformation[]?

I am currently using NULL for SettingData[] and an array of 0-199 numbers for RequestedInformation. This gets me details about all VMs in the system

How do I create SettingData[] for a specific VM? and Is there a better of way of representing the RequestedInformation?

    Thanks

  • From where did you lookup the properties corresponding to 0-199 numbers?

    Thanks

  • I dont have the lookup for 0-199 range. I just used an array of numbers in that range and passed it to GetSummaryInformation(). Without that some of the properties of Msvm_SummaryInformation instance will be NULL

  • Can you provide a simple code snippet of how you achieved this? I have just started trying out WMI and am not able to comprehend what exactly needs to be done to achieve this.

    Thanks in advance
