  • I seriously doubt that gccs geenrated debug information is compatible with VC++. Try GDB.b

  • Thanks for the answer.

So far I understood I need to choose a makefile project, but I still have some doubts on the parameters I have to enter ("Build command line", "clean commands", "rebuild command lines", "preprocessor definition"...).

So far I installed Dev-C++, so I think I should have all the files needed, can you please help me on getting the parameters?

Does debug work even if I'm not building my project with the default compiler?

This point is very important, I absolutely need debugger to work.

  • I managed to get VS build with gcc (creating a makefile and invoking make), but I can't debug my code with VS. Is it possible?

  • Here is the answer to yout question:
    http://sources.redhat.com/ml/crossgcc/2001-05/msg00046.html
The idea is simply to create a project, and in the settings
of the project set a command line with a call to make.
That way, you get compilation with F7, you get the file
    browser/editor just like usual..
