Unavailable network resource RRS feed

  • Question

  • Attempt to install (or uninstall for that matter) Microsoft Silverlight on machine with Vista Home Premium operating system Version    6.0.6002 Service Pack 2 Build 6002 produced this error message from the Windows Installer program:

"The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable."

Following the suggestion in the dialog box, the intallation package 'silverlight.msi' shown by default was moved to same subdirectory as the executable file, the path in the 'Use source' listbox redirected and the installation attempt retried . . . with the same result !

Any help with this problem would be very much appreciated.
