  • Hi minmin312,

    >> What are idMso of[Publish] ?
    idMso of Publish is “MenuPublish”.

    >> In 2016, what is?

    I made a research about this, and it seems they were not published yet. For control identifiers, I suggest you click File->Options->Customize Ribbon-> choose the control which you want-> add it to a ribbon-> export it by clicking Import/Export button at the right-bottom. With saving the file, you could open it with a notepad.

    Here is a simple file by exporting a custom tab with Publish.

    <mso:cmd app="Excel" dt="1" />
    <mso:customUI xmlns:x1="TFCOfficeShim.Connect.14" xmlns:mso="http://schemas.microsoft.com/office/2009/07/customui">
    <mso:ribbon><mso:qat/>
    <mso:tabs>
    <mso:tab id="mso_c1.2617B2D0" label="Developer" insertBeforeQ="mso:TabInsert">
    <mso:group idQ="mso:GroupCode"/><mso:group idQ="mso:GroupAddins"/>
    <mso:group idQ="mso:GroupControls"/><mso:group idQ="mso:GroupXml"/>
    </mso:tab><mso:tab id="mso_c1.3A1E493F" label="New Tab" insertBeforeQ="x1:IDC_TEAM_TAB">
    <mso:group id="mso_c2.3A1E493F" label="New Group" autoScale="true">
    <mso:control idQ="mso:MenuPublish" visible="true"/>
    </mso:group>
    </mso:tab>
    </mso:tabs>
    </mso:ribbon>
    </mso:customUI>

    Best Regards,

    Edward

  • Hi minmin312,

    I am not sure what you mean with Publish, is not it a button? It would be helpful if you could share us a screen shot about your Publish Tab?

    Best Regards,

    Edward

  • Hi Edward,

    For example , "Info" is a tab , it is not a button.
    The idMso of "Info" is "TabInfo".
    As with this , "Publish" is not a button .

    Screen shot, Please look at the URL below.

  • Hi minmin312,

    Thanks for your details.

    It is really strange that TabPublish is Export tab. Have you used Publish tab in Excel 2013? To be honesty, I tried my best to find idmso for Publish tab, but I failed. The document for Excel 2016 were not published yet.

    I suggest you submit a feedback by clicking the smile face in the top right of excel application.

    Best Regards,

    Edward

  • Hi Any news on the new Publish BI idMSO?

    I also need to disable it via customizing the RibbonX but still do not know what the line of XML code would be. It doesn't respond as a TAB or a BUTTON?

    Also whats' the idMSO for 'Feedback' that's now also appeared on the 2016 Excel ribbon.

    Thanks

    Steve

  • Unawares , History-TAB has also been added to File-Menu.
    But, Microsoft does not have yet to update the list.
