Modi document object RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

So after installing MS Office SharePoint designer 2007 I was finally able to use Modi's imaging document.
I read all about it's usage I am able to use it at 100% with success.

I am though wondering, which are the requirements to be able to use Modi apart from installing SharePoint designer?
There must be libraries that makes it possible to use modi imaging document without having to install SharePoint.

It would be better to simply include the dlls into the script rather than requiring to install SharePoint. A project based on Modi will fail on platforms that doesn't have SharePoint installed with all the requirements for Modi.

So my question is, does anyone knows if it is possible to use Modi Imaging documents without having SharePoint designer installed?

    Regards,

    Leandro B.

  • Hi Leandro B,

Based on the description, you want to use MODI whithout SharPoint design installed.

As far as I know, the MODI is removed form Office 2010. We can install it from three ways:

Method 1: Download and install MDI to TIFF File Converter

Method 2: Install MODI by installing SharePoint Designer 2007

Method 3: Install MODI with the 2007 Office System media

You can get more detail from link below:

Install MODI for use with Microsoft Office 2010

Also this forum is for developers discussing issues about apps for Office, I suggest that you get more effective response from Commnunity- Office or SharePoint 2013 - General Discussions and Questions if you have any other end-user issues.

  • So anyone has any idea? the SharePoint Designer 2007 is about 290MB size and I don't think all that data is required to be able to create modi documents.

Please if someone knows, give me a hand here.
