WCF Publishing Wizard : publish a "String" as a response RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I want to publish a Web Service in BizTalk where I will have:

    • A schema as the Request of my method (XSD schema I created)
    • A simple string as the Response.

But in the wizard, I need to browse and select an assembly where the "string" resides and after some tries (mscorlib.dll, system.dll, ...) I'm not able to find the assembly needed.

    Any ideas?

  • Hi,

We have to be providing a .dll that has a document schema defined in for the "string". So as known, we have to be creating one.

  • Hi,

Did you know how to create a document schema for a string? My concern is to have a real string returned by my web service, not a schema with a string field.

    Thanks.

  • Hi,

Yes but I don't have an orchestration ! So it is not an option for me. I don't want to create an orchestration only for that.

  • Hi David,

It seems we are not having any predefined biztalk assembly with document schema for string, int or...any DTs. It is really a good scenario. Thanks for the question.
