Cannot access Microsoft Access database for my software.

Question

I cannot be able to open my software (Sage Pastel Partner-POS) nor access its documents.mdb as the below message pops up : 

• The Microsoft Office Access database engine stopped the process because you and another user are attempting to change the same data at the same time.

Kindly Note that no other user is logged in to the system.

If there is a corresponding .ldb file for this database try deleting it. Then I would recommend running a Compact and Repair on the database.

Hi M. Brian,

As other community member already suggested you to delete the .ldb file may solve your issue.

other possibility is , if your database is somehow attached with SQL Server database and you left any field empty then Database engine will put lock on that record and you can receive this error.

other thing you had mentioned that, you are not able to open your software.

did you got any error while opening your software? in which project type it was developed?
