  • General sandbox meaning:

Here's a link to whitepapers about Windows Store apps:
    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/apps/hh465413.aspx

I can't find anything that says "This is how Windows Store applications are sandboxed."  The general idea is that Store apps do not communicate with each other except via the charm methods, or by protocol/extension activation.

If I ask for code, please provide something that I can drop directly into a project and run (including XAML), or an actual application project. I'm trying to help a lot of people, so I don't have time to figure out weird snippets with undefined objects and unknown namespaces.

  • Thank you Matt for your answer.
Currently I'm study hard Win8 API and sometime I've been finding references to this term. Of course I understand what the sandbox means in general, but I would to know how Microsoft explain this term applying to Win8 and of course in WinRT term(API's constrains and so forth). From developer perspective  I would prefer to read formal explanation of sandbox with list of constrains and .
In any case, thank you for your attempt to help.
