TCP/IP adapter in biztalk server 2010 RRS feed

  • HI,

    I already installed the TCP/IP adapter in my local machine now I am developing a sample application using TCP/IP adapter but I am confusing with the properties like Port Number, Message start framing, Message End framing, please any one help to develop sample application using tcp/ip adapter in BizTalk server 2010.

  • What problem are you trying to solve?

    It would help to gain some familiarity with TCP/IP and streaming in general before diving into something like the TCP/IP Adapter.

    The Port Number is actually part of an IP address, but frequently assumed.  HTTP for example is usually on Port 80 but that is not absolutely required.  A full IP address looks something like 10.1.1.150:80 with 80 being the Port.

    The framing characters are a sequence of bytes that tell the adapter where in the incoming stream a message starts and ends.  The sender can pump a continuous stream of messages so they have to be sliced somehow.
