Executive PowerPivot Dashboard RRS feed

  • Question

  • Good day all,

    I am working on a project for a client in the Liquor industry.

    I am tasked with creating a dashboard to represent their KPIs (namely 1. Availability 2. Pricing 3. Listings 4. Displays 5. Strike Rate)

    Please may you assist with a dashboard format or approach to display these KPIs.

    Below is a list of their general requirements

    Availability On and Off

    Pricing On and Off

    Listings On and Off

    Displays On and Off

    Calling (Strike Rate)

    Availability Hierarchy

    Region then;

    Segment then;

    Store universe, total stores vs. hit stores

    Active calls need to be weighted – if not visited assume “no”

    “Yes” vs. “No” availability weighted

    Key Account Pricing

    Competitor Pricing

    Keep competitor pricing separate.  Category alphabetical order.

    Exception by it not being listed “No”

    Count by the answer of “No”, group by hierarchy of item category.

    Displays (POS)

    Yes and No

    Store level, by POS item

    Your help will be much appreciated.

    Many thanks

  • You need to first create a model inside excel powerpivot

    For that first step is to determine how data is present in your source system. Based on that you may need to write multiple queries to pull the required data onto powerpivot model and derive relationships between them. Once thats done you can go ahead and add the pivot sheets/charts and display the data from your model
