Attaching files not working over https RRS feed

  • Question

  • I'm not sure if this issue is strictly because of https but I wanted to make sure I noted that I am running over https. When I attempt to attach a file to a work item, I get a "the page cannot be displayed" error. Is there a fix for this?

Running the original version released after Microsoft acquisition.

  • Fixed it by creating the Attachments folder under App_Data and giving the IIS Worker process (in this case Network Service) read, write, and change access to that folder.

Now the only issue is that the attachments don't get added to TFS only to TSWA.

  • Hi Mike,

Do you experience the same problem when you run over http?

  • It doesn't work over normal http either.

    Here's the error

Access to the path 'C:\Program Files\devBiz\TeamPlain Web Access\Web\App_Data\Attachments\xzdcpy55ezovx555qpncktnu\f1d08ca8-4456-49ce-88f3-f69d05848729' is denied.
Do I need to give the asp process access to that folder?

  • Make sure you click the "Save" button after adding attachments.
