I have started a Microsoft Business Intelligence Consultancy in Edinburgh RRS feed

  • Question

  • How do I speak to someone in Microsoft Edinburgh to help me develop my business?  I want to acheive Gold Partner BI  specialist status in 1 year within Edinburgh. I am one week from being a Microsoft Certified Partner.

  • Gold partner status will mean you either have tested products, or multiple MCPs as part of your organisation.

One person having experience will typically not get you all the way to gold, unless of course you have apps that can be tested, then you might be able to.

You can also do exams for specialisations which get you points which count toward your total.

I have MCSD, MCTS and MCPD, and I think I only get a handful of points for that.

I would say that you should have a trawl through the partners sites, and when you are certified partner, you should ask the Microsoft rep what is the most efficient way to get where you want to be.

    I hope that helps,

    Cheers,

    Martin.
