Best resources for learning .Net Application Architecture RRS feed

  • Can anybody please suggest me the best resource for learning about the development architecture e.g. N-tier, N-Layer, DI, MVC, MVP, SOA that commonly used in .Net development?

  • Presumably you're looking for an overview.


    I google N Tier architecture, there's a bunch of articles - overviews, introductions etc..

    I think MVP is fairly rare.

    MVC much more common than Microsoft originally thought it would be.  Largely due to the fact that whatever MS lavishes attention on is what gets developers attention.

  • A good way to learn about that is the book Microsoft Application Architecture Guide, 2nd Edition 

    This is a book, you can to buy it or download the e-book FREE. Talk about design patterns, n-Tier, N-layernd a lots of more.

  • Also consider the ALT.NET view too. NoSQL, node.js, NServiceBus, OpenRasta, etc. Just google (I mean Bing) and have a read. I find SkillsMatter to be a great source of free online seminars.
