I could very well be wrong on this, but I do not believe you can decompile a DLL into VB code, especially if the app has been put through a dotfuscator. You could probably decompile it to a machine language point.

Here is a site that promises a .NET dll can be decompiled. It is not that unusual that it can be decompiled, since it uses a known Intermediate Language format. This site also says it can handle obfuscated strings (I have not tries it, YMMV).

Yeah it is very much possible. Use Reflector.

First you can get reflector from http://www.red-gate.com/products/reflector/

the download page states ".NET Reflector enables you to easily view, navigate, and search through, the class hierarchies of .NET assemblies, even if you don't have the code for them. With it, you can decompile and analyze .NET assemblies in C#, Visual Basic, and IL"

Salamander looks interesting but it is very expensive. Reflector and add-ons are free!
